Shannon Adkins ~ After spending many years as an agnostic, Shannon became a Christian at the age of 27. Twelve years later, he graduated from Spring Arbor University with a bachelor's degree in ministry, and is now a youth pastor at the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene. Shannon is passionate about helping people to understand their intrinsic value as beings created in the Image of God. He is also passionate about the arts, and composes and records his own music in his studio at home. Shannon lives in Adrian, with his lovely wife, Beth, and their three children – Haydn, Mia, and Grace.
Jamie Anderson ~ Mrs. Jamie Anderson has a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and spent 15 years in radio broadcasting and national trade association public relations work before homeschooling her sons. She’s taught adults and teens how to be confident communicators and loves her current profession of teaching homeschool students. She teaches at the REACH homeschool tutorial in Adrian and also online through The Academy at Bright Ideas Press. She enjoys working with students to take the fear out of public speaking, help reluctant writers succeed and guide students through the puzzle of research paper writing. She brings a great deal of energy to her classes, so students stay engaged. She is married to Jim, a JetBlue pilot. They have three adult sons; two are in college and one lives in NYC. Mrs. Anderson enjoys bike riding, visiting family in Iowa and friends in Colorado, coordinating the annual Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection and being involved in Bible Study Fellowship.

Rebekah Deline ~is blessed with being the wife of Aaron Deline and mom to 7 precious and lively children ages 3 - 17. She is passionate about homeschooling, having the immense privilege of being homeschooled hereself! She believes that Jesus Christ is the author and goal of all true learning and that our children's education should be carried out in that light. She LOVES history and children's literature, enjoys camping with her family up north, and baking, and of course, reading. We should never stop learning! Christine Filipek ~ After growing up in Connecticut, Christine graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor’s degree in Education and spent 10 years teaching in Christian schools before moving to Michigan with her husband, Keith, who also graduated from PCC and is a music teacher. Christine and Keith knew before having their first child over 21 years ago, that they would homeschool and she has enjoyed the journey. Besides teaching her own children for the past 17 years, Christine taught Apologia sciences to a group of students in her home for 4 years and then began teaching several classes at the Quest tutorial. She has also taught online for the past several years teaching science classes to students all over the world. She and Keith have served in leadership roles over the past 10 years with two homeschool support groups. She feels that God has put her in this place and time to share her passion for excellence in home education with the homeschooling community in Lenawee county.

Evelyn Frandle ~As a former homeschool graduate, Evelyn continued with an education at Hillsdale College graduating magna cum laude honors with a degree in music with her instruments being violin and viola. She started her music studies when she was three years old using the Suzuki method. During high school, Evelyn was part of the Toledo Youth Orchestra, Sienna Heights Youth Orchestra, Harvest Orchestra, and Adrian Public School Orchestra. In 2011, she was the second chair for the Lenawee County Fine Arts Festival Orchestra. She has been a certified Suzuki teacher since 2014.
Mindy Goetz ~ Mindy has lived in the Blissfield, Michigan area her entire life , she is married to Chad Goetz and has been a farmers wife for 24 years. She is a homeschooling mom of five. Their oldest daughter is married and about to make them first time grandparents 💕 they also have a 20 year old son, 15 year old son, 14 year old daughter and an 11 year old daughter. Mindy received her bachelors degree in elementary education from Siena Heights College. Their family has attended Elem3nt Church in Blissfield for 25 years. They love camping and sports. Mindy looks forward to teaching at REACH and getting to know our homeschooling families better.
Eva Salisbury ~ Eva Salisbury has spent the last 34 years working as a Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator. She teaches for a living and for fun. The mother of four, 2018 marks the completion of her homeschool journey with her own children. Jeff and Eva, married 36 years, have served in leadership in the local homeschool support group and are active members of their church. Faith, family and fun are three words that describe Eva’s outlook on life. Her sincere faith in God and His amazing grace, which is free to all, helps her to be positive and look for the good in all situations. “I realize God is truly in control, which causes me to carry a deep sense of family and friends and keep a clear perspective on the important things of life – relationships,” she explains. Eva is passionate about helping the next generation love and serve God and learn about the world He created. Jason Sparks ~ After growing up in a few different locations, his parents came to Adrian, where he graduated from LCS in 1993. He started attending Bible College where he trained to be a children’s pastor, when his course of life changed. He married TommiSue and decided to train as a Semi Driver at a Tec school in Montpelier, OH. Jason did this for several years until his family started to grow. Right now Jason works at GM in Toledo, OH, as well as helping his wife teach there 4 children at home. (5th one due in July). Mary Tomell ~ Mary received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Siena Heights University in 1978 and has painted for fun and profit ever since. Mary has taught community education art classes as well as serving as the art teacher for the former St. John’s Lutheran Day School. She has taught art to small groups of homeschool students for the past five years. Mary is part of the Lenawee Council for the Visual Arts and has displayed her work through their many art shows. She also plays the piano/keyboard professionally for local churches. She and Phil have one son, whom they homeschooled in high school. If you walk into the Adrian Senior Center dining room, you will see Mary’s work; a giant mural depicting the history of Adrian from 1826 to 1910, which Mary painted 25 years ago.
